EastEnders’ Shirley Carter relishes breaking the news to the Slaters that Phil Mitchell knows they’ve got his money. When she tells them that they’ve got until the end of the day to give it back they're horrified.
The family won't back down and Jean Slater works out that Shirley betrayed her. Although gutted about her friend letting her down, she tells daughter Stacey Fowler that she can’t deal with the stress anymore. She pleads with Stacey to give the money back. When Shirley turns up to collect the cash Kat Moon and Mo Harris refuse and there’s a stand off. What will Shirley do?
Stuart Highway is determined to help out a homeless Rainie Branning but he’s at a loss as to what to do. Rainie comes up with a dangerous moneymaking scheme and asks Stuart to get involved. Although alarmed by Rainie’s plan, when he can’t talk her out of it he agrees to go along with her to protect her. Has Rainie gone too far this time and is she in big trouble?
Back in the Square, Kathy Beale thinks enough is enough and it’s time to go to the police over a missing Abi Branning. Son Ian Beale agrees to think about, even though it could mean social services will get involved.
Sharon Mitchell heads to her midwife appointment with hubby Phil Mitchell to talk about her pregnancy. With the paternity test on her mind, when they talk about doing her bloods, she hides that she’s had them taken. Back at home, Sharon gets the paternity test ready to send off but she’s interrupted by step-daughter Louise Mitchell. Sharon offers Louise some wise words when she shares the pressure she’s under trying to hide her own pregnancy at school.
Also, Karen Taylor is asked out on a date by a surprising new love interest. Tiffany Butcher tries to convince Denise Fox not to give up on her uncle Jack Branning. EastEnders continues on BBC1 on Monday at 8.00 pm
