In a special Christmas Eve episode, Dot prepares for a big life change. Abi helps Dot decorate the launderette for a farewell party that will also mark Dot’s retirement. After the party, it’s the end of an era as Dot shuts the launderette for the final time.

On the eve of Christmas, a desolate Phil is left to contemplate his actions after walking out on Sharon and the family. After Shirley gives him some tough love, Phil heads to Peggy’s grave. When he finds Denise, she is horrified by what Phil is doing, but he insists it is best for the family.

The Walford Players prepare for their final night, but Linda’s evening is torn apart when she learns some devastating news.
