Pike's golden girl Amy has gone missing on her fifth wedding anniversary. So, is her husband (Affleck) to blame for her disappearance? As the cunning mystery unfolds amid a media feeding frenzy, slowly revealing all the cracks in their relationship, director David Fincher tugs our sympathies this way and that while springing twists and surprise turns to keep us guessing.
Affleck does an excellent job with his furtive character, but it's Pike who steals the film with her scarily chilly portrayal.
This film starts at 11.00pm on BBC2 Northern Ireland.
