Atkinson's straight face is a perfect match for the slapstick goings-on, in which there's always a huge gap between what he says and what's hilariously happening around him.
Ben Miller and Natalie Imbruglia lend game support and John Malkovich gives his hammiest ever turn as a devious Frenchman with his eye on the British throne, but this is the brilliant Atkinson's show.
