Jack Black, Adrien Brody and Naomi Watts arrive on mysterious Skull Island to make a movie, but instead find all manner of deadly dangers, vicious wildlife - and giant gorilla King Kong (Andy Serkis).

Director Peter Jackson's spellbinding remake of the 1933 classic monster movie is a masterpiece.

The heart-stopping action scenes on the island are brilliantly staged and, when 'eighth wonder of the world' Kong arrives in New York, the scene is set for an exhilarating and moving final battle atop the Empire State Building.

Using motion-capture technology, Serkis brings the digitally created Kong to marvellous life, imbuing him with not only a personality but also a whole range of emotions, Watts screams like a good ’un as the actress who's originally offered as a sacrifice and becomes the ape's friend and Black and Brody also make their roles count.

Not to be missed.
