The dramatic landscape of England's Lake District is stunning whether covered in snow or sprinkled with blossoms.

This beautifully filmed documentary tracks the changes in the region over the course of a year to gain a new perspective on the cycle of the seasons, using time-lapse photography to chart everything from the joyous lambing time to the devastation wrought by terrible floods.

High-speed footage of hundreds of Herdwick sheep being sheared and a band of brave swimmers plunging into Windermere are among many highlights, alongside clouds racing across dramatic skies, tiny birds tending their eggs and carpets of bluebells gradually being covered over with ferns.
