Given three months to live, a curmudgeonly, cancer-stricken Aussie taxi driver (Michael Caton) resolves to take charge of his own destiny.

So he sets out to drive the 1,900 miles from his backwater hometown to Darwin, where a recently passed right-to-die law offers him the possibility of assisted suicide.

Inspired by a true story, this road movie proves surprisingly moving as its dour and solitary protagonist picks up a couple of passengers and gradually opens up to life, and to others, while en route to his date with death.
