Felicity Jones is a sparky young English woman studying in LA, where she meets and falls for classmate Anton Yelchin, an aspiring furniture designer.

All goes blissfully for the young couple until she overstays her student visa - bad move! - and gets stranded on the other side of the Atlantic.

Apart, they take up with new partners - she with yuppie Charlie Bewley, Yelchin with sensitive workmate Jennifer Lawrence, but find that that they can't ignore the enduring bond between them.

Improvising their dialogue from an outline supplied by director Drake Doremus, Jones and Yelchin deliver immensely appealing and convincing performances and fully capture the giddy excitement of courtship, while a darting hand-held camera adds to the film's intimate feel as we see how the couple will make their relationship work.
