A despairing Pam suggests leaving Albert Square

Pam is gutted when Billy reveals he can’t get past seeing Les dressed as Christine. Sure that Billy is going to tell everyone, Pam suggests to Les they sell up and move away. Although Paul doesn’t want to leave with them, after a discussion with Ben, Paul suggests taking over the business. Later, Pam is stunned by a face from the past, as Paul’s mum Jenny turns up!

Steven and Lauren agree to get their own place together. When Steven visits Jane in hospital with Ian, they are worried about how depressed she is, deciding that Jane would be better off at home. Knowing that Ian will need help with Jane, Steven breaks the news to Lauren that they need to move into the Beales’ instead.

Linda has an idea to commemorate Peggy, having a brass bell engraved with “In memory of Peggy Mitchell” to call time at The Vic. Meanwhile, Sharon confides in Linda about a letter that Michelle sent to Peggy, which Sharon opened because Peggy had died. Refusing to explain the contents of the letter, she is grateful when Linda says she’ll look after an ill Phil if Sharon needs to go to Florida to speak to Michelle.
