Globetrotting Reggie Yates travels to an ancient and still rather mysterious country for Reggie in China

In Reggie in China, presenter Reggie Yates visits the world’s oldest continuous civilisation to get under the skin of this vast and complex country (Sunday, 9pm, see our TV Guide for full details).

He begins in Shenzhen, which only 40 years ago was farmland. Now it’s a mega metropolis, home to millions and the centre of the tech revolution that is re-writing the future of the whole world.

As Reggie says, “if you think it, you can make it here”.

From glasses that talk to you, robots that play table tennis, flying motorbikes and drones that deliver hot noodle soup, the innovation and creativity is astounding.

But Reggie also questions the darker side of all this tech, where CCTV cameras uses facial recognition to record and log your every move and the communist government is all-powerful.

A hugely enlightening and accessible documentary about a fascinating country.
