Another chance to catch Bruno Tonioli celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic dance film in Saturday Night Fever – The Ultimate Disco Movie
If you missed this documentary when it was first aired on BBC2 two years ago to mark Saturday Night Fever's 40th anniversary, here's another chance to bust some moves on the dancefloor as it's shown again on BBC4.
Made on a small budget, the film was based on a magazine article by British journalist Nik Cohn.
But thanks in part to the soundtrack (the second-best-selling of all time behind The Bodyguard), it went stratospheric.
Bruno Tonioli, a young dancer in New York in 1977, looks back at the making of the film, visiting the streets where it was shot.
Contributors include its star John Travolta and Bee Gee Barry Gibb.
Then, at 10.10pm, there’s a compilation of performances from the Bee Gees at the BBC and beyond, who had massive-selling singles from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, including Night Fever and Stayin’ Alive.
