Decades after surviving the 1945 nuclear bombing of Nagasaki, Logan returns to Japan to meet a billionaire industrialist whose life he saved back then – but ends up fending off hordes of Yakuza gangsters and ninja warriors while on the run with the man's granddaughter (Tao Okamoto).
With one standout seqeunce taking place atop a hurtling bullet train, the action scenes are terrific, Jackman is on fighting-fit form and Okamoto and Rila Fukushima, as an ice-cool killer, are captivating foils for him.
