Writer-star Amy Schumer unleashes her hard-partying character from her cable TV sketch show Inside Amy Schumer in a raucous, taboo-busting comedy.

She lets rip with a barrage of rude gags as her boozy New York singleton, a writer on a men's magazine, tears through a series of riotous one-night stands and misadventures.

However, once she begins dating good-natured sports doctor Bill Hader, director Judd Apatow steers the film into much more conventional romcom territory.

Schumer delivers big laughs throughout, as do Tilda Swinton, unrecognisable beneath an orange tan and flowing dirty-blonde wig as her ruthless editor, and US basketball star LeBron James, as a Downton Abbey-loving version of himself.

Look out, too, for droll cameos from Daniel Radcliffe and Marisa Tomei in a black-and-white film within the film.
