Ray continues his exploration of the wilder side of France as he explores the Ardèche region in the south-west. It's a place he knows well, and you can see that he feels right at home as he explores the mighty gorge carved out by the Ardèche River, which is surrounded by some of the country's most spectacular scenery and wildlife. Ray abseils down deep into the ‘bowels of the Ardèche’ as he explores the stalactites and stalagmites of the expansive cave system that lies beneath this limestone region. He then takes to his trusty canoe to paddle along the river and spot more wildlife, including a peregrine falcon and a rare beaver.
