Presenter Paul Rose begins his adventure around the Yorkshire Dales in beautiful Wensleydale.

Arriving by train at Garsdale Station, he takes the community-run bus service to the bustling town of Hawes, where local volunteers also run the post office, library and petrol station.

After a visit to a farm that gives asylum seekers a new start, Paul gets on his bike to view the stunning scenery from the top of some very steep hills.

A dormouse

Cute… Paul finds out how the dormouse is being protected

At Aysgarth Falls, he joins a team looking after the local dormouse population, before learning a bit of history at the imposing Bolton Castle.

His journey ends on the picturesque (and volunteer-run) Wensleydale Railway.
