Hollyoaks has announced details of a special summer plot that sees three newcomers joining the soap. Former Waterloo Road star Lucy Dixon was previously revealed to have signed up in the role of Tilly, with Scarlett Bowman (Maddie) and Dylan Llewellyn (Jono) also joining her in the cast. Sinead (Stephanie Davis), Ruby (Anna Shaffer) and Esther (Jazmine Franks) meet the newcomers after tricking their parents and guardians into letting them leave Hollyoaks village, and making their way to Abersoch, north Wales to have some fun and meet up with Sinead's boyfriend Bart, played by Jonny Clarke. However, Sinead gets a surprise when she spots her boyfriend curled up on the sofa with ex-girlfriend Maddie in a post-party slumber. It sounds like a summer they will never forget, as Esther embarks on a passionate holiday romance while Sinead has her hands full with keeping Bart away from Maddie's clutches. "It's not long before Sinead's jealousy lands her in deep water and with the alcohol flowing and their senses blurred, the youngsters are set to get themselves in big trouble," a statement teased. With Maddie and Jono determined to join Hollyoaks' new sixth form college in September, it sounds like it won't be the last we see of the newcomers. The storyline screens on Hollyoaks from June 20 on Channel 4.
