Hollyoaks actor Joe Tracini has announced that he is quitting his role in the soap.
Joe has played Dennis Savage in the Channel 4 series since 2011 and wrote on Twitter that he would be leaving later in the year, but didn't give any details about what his final storyline would involve.
He tweeted: "I want to tell you all from me that I'll be leaving Hollyoaks at the end of the year. It's an amazing place to work, and I'll miss it!"
Dennis has mainly been a comedy character since he arrived in Hollyoaks, but had a more serious storyline last year when his girlfriend Leanne Holiday (Jessica Forrest) died in the party explosion just weeks after they had got together and he married her in hospital shortly before her death.
