The Bill star Lisa Maxwell requires 'make under' for new Hollyoaks role

Lisa Maxwell, longtime star of ITV police drama The Bill, is joining Hollyoaks and will play Grace Black's mother, Tracey

Lisa Maxwell is swapping her crime-fighting role in The Bill for something far more criminal.

She has joined Hollyoaks and is playing mobster Fraser Black’s ex-wife and Grace Black’s mum Tracey.

The former Loose Women star, who played DI Samantha Nixon on The Bill, has already started filming and it seems she’s settling in well.

However, she says she is going to look very different in her new role on the Channel 4 soap.

Lisa told The Sun: “Let’s just say her make-up call is a lot shorter than Grace’s!

“Tracey is a great character to play and it has been great terrific fun having a make-under to play her.”

Tracey is also mum to the Donovan boys and is poised to cause trouble for them.

Lisa said: “Seeing how her return impacts on Grace will be interesting as there’s not a lot of love lost between them. Especially as she arrives with a big juicy Donovans secret.

“Tracey has had a hard life and might at first seem like a bit of a train wreck and burden to her daughter when she arrives in the village, but there is much more to her than meets the eye – as you would expect of Fraser Black’s ex-wife.”
