Rebecca Breeds has revealed why she thinks her Home and Away character has fallen for Xavier Austin. Rebecca's character in the Five soap, Ruby Buckton, has already had her ups and downs with the fellow Year 10 student, played by David Jones-Roberts - but Rebecca isn't surprised by the love interest. "He's a challenge, she had to work for him and there is something mysterious and naughty about him but deep down she knows he is loyal and decent," Rebecca said. She also spoke about her flirtation with the movies, after appearing in the 2007 release Newcastle. "Obviously they both have pros and cons. I'd love to go back to film one day but TV is a great place to learn too," she said. "I like that Ruby is consistently evolving." However, Rebecca hasn't ruled herself out of a sporty role in the future. "I've always wanted to do a football film," Rebecca said. "I love football and I think that would be great fun."
