Onetime Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren has explained why he's not taking part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here - apparently, he thinks it's too soft. The Daily Mirror reports that McLaren described the I'm a Celebrity location was a 'glorified film set' packed with 500 people. He told The Sun: "This is not a reality show. It's fake. They fix things. They know who's going to win and lose. "There are about 550 people in the jungle. It might have been a jungle once upon a time, but now it's a film set." "I met Medic Bob and producers and was shocked to hear I was never going to be in danger," he said to the Mirror. "Bob told me, 'Things are so safe in there I'd send my five-year-old kids in to do the show.' "The snakes they use are pythons and not poisonous. They're not interested in humans and probably yawn before slithering off." McLaren claims the public are being hoodwinked. An I'm A Celebrity spokesman said: "Malcolm's attitude to appearing seemed to change after his health and safety briefing. Perhaps he's scared?" I'm A Celebrity premieres on ITV1 at 9pm on Monday night.
