I'm A Celebrity: Rodney in new sexism row
I'm A Celebrity contestant Rodney Marsh has stirred up more controversy in the jungle after fuelling a sexism row. The outspoken former football pundit caused the trouble by telling his fellow jungle mates he would not travel on a plane unless it was piloted by men, and that women made too much "fuss" about giving birth. The conversation took place after Marsh had spent time in the treehouse with Lynne Franks. "She believes in equality of women," he told the others, "but my point was what has a woman ever invented?" "You can't compare women and men if women don't do anything of that level. I mean women are great in other levels." Anna Ryder Richardson warned Marsh he would be likely to lose female votes with his remarks - at which point the 63-year-old attempted to backtrack, saying the comments had been a "joke". "That's why women have no sense of humour either," he said. "I'm only kidding." Meanwhile, Janice was chosen by the public for yet another Bushtucker Trial on Friday night's show - this time accompanied by Lynne. The pair were set the task of retrieving stars from a pen filled with ostriches. In other I'm A Celebrity news, Marc Bannerman has admitted he is worried about how his girlfriend will view his blossoming friendship with Cerys Matthews. The former EastEnder told newcomer Christopher Biggins that Sarah Matravers would probably be "jealous, and fretting that I'm about to run off with someone else". Matravers, who is jetting out to Australia over the weekend, refused to comment about Marc and Cerys getting cosy in the jungle. "I have nothing to say," the actress told the Mirror.
