Susannah Constantine first to be evicted from I'm a Celebrity

Susannah Constantine, best known as one half of fashion duo Trinny and Susannah, became the first celebrity to leave ITV's I'm a Celebrity... on Friday night during the first public eviction of the 2015 series.

The 53-year-old, who Ant and Dec christened "The Camp Mum”, found herself in the eviction zone, alongside former boxer Chris Eubank, after receiving the fewest votes from the public.

All the jungle dwellers were up for the vote, aside from Vicky Pattison, George Shelley and Duncan Bannatyne whose star performance as a team in earlier challenges earned them immunity.

Susannah's eviction means Lady Colin Campbell remains in the show, so viewers can be assured of a few more outrageous comments and stroppy arguments for a while yet.

After being told the news, Susannah admitted “she was gutted” to be the first out of the jungle. “It's bittersweet. I am going to miss everyone, I didn’t want to cry. They are such a great group of people. You feel like a limb has been taken off.”

The stylist admitted to hosts Ant and Dec life that life in the camp was made more difficult with Lady C. “I don't want to single her out, but she's done that herself I guess. It's been like a roller coaster. It's like living in a bipolar atmosphere. She had the ability to bring the camp down or raise it up.

"It's like a switch goes off and another person arrives. Fundamentally, she's a really lovely woman."

Separately, she admitted that jungle life had been more difficult than she was anticipating. "It was so much harder than I expected. But it's been an incredible experience, I'm so glad I did it."

Going through her show highlights with Ant and Dec, Susannah became a bit teary when the duo showed her the moment she comforted a teary-eyed, homesick George Shelley in the camp. And she backed the Union J heart-throb to win the competition.

There was no mention of her nude-coloured underwear that caused a bit of a social media storm earlier in the run, though, with some viewers felt she'd let the fashionistas down.

So, as the campmates struggle to look after themselves without their Camp Mum, who’ll be next out?
