Georgia Taylor joins Law and Order UK

ITV’s Law and Order – UK will return for a seventh series in July.

The new series of Law and Order – UK will star Georgia Taylor, 33, and Paterson Joseph, 48, as crown prosecutor and detective inspector respectively.

Georgia, best known for starring as Toyah Battersby in Coronation Street, will play a defence barrister turned Crown prosecutor, Kate Barker, who is a 'straight-talking, charming prosecutor used to getting her own way'.

Also joining the Law and Order – UK cast is Paterson Joseph, best known for Peep Show and Hustle. Paterson will be playing newly appointed DI Wes Leyton, a man who's been in the force since he was 18 and believes the only way to change things is from the inside.

Paterson and Georgia will join regular Law and Order – UK cast members Bradley Walsh, Paul Nicholls and Peter Davison.

Law and Order – UK producer Jane Hudson says: "In this series we deal with a lot of crime committed by people you really wouldn’t expect. What seems like an ordinary family turns out to be the complete opposite with some extraordinary outcomes. There’s certainly something for everyone with a few familiar faces joining us along the way."
