Pop princess Pixie Lott is the early favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing as the BBC unveiled the full cast of celebrity dancers who will battle it out in the new series.
Bookmaker William Hill has Pixie at 5-1 to win, closely followed by The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge and Blue singer Simon Webbe, who are both 6-1. Bargain Hunt’s Tim Wonnacott is the 33-1 outsider.
The firm’s spokesman Rupert Adams said: “We cannot see Tim Wonnacott making it through the first week unless he gets a cult following like John Sergeant.”
As well as Frankie, Simon and Tim, Pixie will be dancing against MasterChef judge Gregg Wallace, Mrs Brown’s Boys star Jennifer Gibney, TV presenters Caroline Flack and Alison Hammond, Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, wildlife expert Steve Backshall, EastEnders star Jake Wood, former Casualty star Sunetra Sarker, TV presenter and radio DJ Mark Wright, model and rugby player Thom Evans and tennis ace Andy Murray’s mum Judy.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC1 for its 12th series on Sunday September 7, at 8.00pm.
