Actor Steven Arnold can count himself a lucky man after escaping punishment for going AWOL from the set of Coronation Street. The actor, who plays Ashley Peacock, threw the tight shooting schedule into chaos on Friday when he failed to turn up for crucial scenes in which he cheats on his wife, Claire. But because of the hectic schedule he escaped a dressing down, according to the Daily Mirror. A Coronation Street insider told the paper: "He cost us thousands of pounds of overtime." A friend of the 32-year-old Cheshire actor said he had been despressed and drinking more after splitting from his girlfriend.
