The pregnant star posted an emotional series of clips to Instagram as she said goodbye to her Coronation Street co-stars.
The 27-year-old actress, who has played Sophie Webster in the soap since 2004, filmed her final scenes this week, before leaving the cobbles to go on maternity leave.
After finishing up on-set, Brooke bid an emotional farewell to her Coronation Street co-stars in Dev’s corner shop. She shared the heartfelt scenes with fans in a series of video clips on Instagram, writing: ‘I can’t believe 15 years ago I came onto the street to play ‘Sophie Webster’ and today I left to play my biggest role yet ‘Mummy’ my amazing family at Coronation Street I am going to miss you all so much.’
‘Thank you for always looking after me, for keeping me on the straight and narrow and for letting me get away with murder over the years,’ she went on. The actress also thanked her partner, boyfriend Kean Bryan, adding: ‘Also @kean8 for making my last day extra special coming home to the best treats!! I really am super lucky!!’
Kean and Brooke are expecting their first child together, after dating for three years. ‘I’ve always wanted to be a mum, so I’m really excited,’ she told OK! magazine. ‘Kean brings out the best in me and it makes me so excited that we’re on this journey together.’
In the behind-the-scenes clips, Mikey North, Antony Cotton and Brooke’s on-screen mum Sally Dynevor are seen saying goodbye to the actress, with Sally exclaiming: ‘We’re going to miss you so much! You’ve been here since you were 11. This is your home. Come back any time you want to, bring the baby!’
Co-stars Tina O’Brien and Samia Longchambon were quick to comment on the post, with Tina writing: ‘It’s not going to be the same without you!!!! Can’t wait to hear all about your mummy adventures, you’re going to be an incredible mum.’
‘Awww we will miss you so much Brooke!’ Samia added. ‘Well done on getting through today!’
