Charlotte Ritchie and Zawe Ashton want to work with Fresh Meat co-stars 'over and over again' (VIDEO)

The final series of Fresh Meat premieres on Channel 4 on Monday, but in good news for TV fans everywhere some of the cast have spoken of how much they want to work together again in the future.

“I would very happily work with this team of people over and over again,” says Zawe Ashton, who plays irreverent student Vod in the Channel 4 comedy.

“I would like us to be the Christopher Guest company who just do film after film after film, and play different roles and engage in different dynamics.”

The Channel 4 comedy about six students from the fictional Manchester Medlock University, which stars Jack Whitehall, Joe Thomas, Greg McHugh, Kimberley Nixon, Charlotte Ritchie and Zawe Ashton, has been on our screens since 2011.

But co-star Charlotte Ritchie, who plays Nurse Barbara Gilbert in BBC1's Call The Midwife, had a different slant.

“I can’t think of anything worse!” she joked. “No, it would be great to work together again, it’s so rare to find six people who get on so well!”
