Coronation Street fans have been left upset as it is confirmed by the soap that actress Bhavna Limbachia will be leaving her role as Rana Habeeb later this year.

It was revealed yesterday that the actress would be leaving Coronation Street, and according to The Sun the character of Rana will be dramatically killed off in a huge storyline.

A source reportedly told The Sun that while the details of Rana's death are being kept secret, there were talks that she would be killed off on her wedding day to fiancee Kate Connor.

The ITV insider apparently told Sun Online: "Bhavna wanted Rana to be killed off as she didn't like the idea of her and Kate just splitting up as it would upset fans of the show.
