The first of tonight's two episodes started with Kate worrying that Rana had got cold feet when she was late for their wedding.

But unbeknownst to Kate and the rest of the cobbles' residents, Rana was caught up in the roof collapse drama after she went back to the office to get her bag before heading to say 'I do'.

As news of the disaster got back to Kate, she jumped in a taxi and races back to the Street to be closer to Rana, but with the police blocking the way in to the factory, Kate was forced to talk to Rana on the phone from outside the building.

The pair kept talking through almost the entire episode, telling each other how much they meant to one another. But it wasn't enough for Kate and she was desperate to be by Rana's side.
