Are Coronation Street's Leanne and Toyah preparing for a threesome?

Coronation Street star Jane Danson has hinted that fans of the soap will soon see her character, Leanne Battersby’s ‘naughty’ side, after she discovered that she and on-screen sister Toyah have been dating the same man.

Unlucky-in-love Leanne and sister Toyah plot the unusual revenge on their beau Imran Habeeb, by suggesting they embark on a threesome.

'They play Imran at his own game and tell him it's a dream come true for them,’ Jane said of the upcoming storyline.

‘They say they've always gone for the same type of man and he says “really?” He's a bit nervous.’

Despite some viewers maybe feeling uncomfortable at the suggestion of a threesome, Jane admits she’s relishing the chance to show a different side to her character.

'Leanne's quite miserable sometimes, so it's been nice for me to do different stuff. It's not as draining, that's for sure,’ she told the Daily Star.

'Rather than being dark and heavy, this storyline is a bit light-hearted. It's good to see Leanne's naughty side again.'

In scenes set to air next week, fans will see Leanne and Toyah both discover they've been sleeping with Imran and rather than fight for his hand will team up for a bit of revenge.

But while it seems Leanne is destined to be single, fans and Jane are hoping for a reunion between Leanne and former flame Nick Tilsley, after it was reported he is set to return to the cobbles.

‘Ultimately Nick is the love of Leanne's life – they've been through so much,’ Jane told The Express.

‘They were teenage sweethearts and his mum, Gail, hates her. It's always been like Romeo and Juliet.

‘So I would love it if they could settle down for good. Sometimes people do end up happy on Coronation Street!’
