Dot (June Brown) has become somewhat reclusive recently, rarely straying far from home and reluctant to see anyone. Concerned Patrick has been trying to find out what's troubling his friend, and his persistence has caused ructions in his relationship with Claudette. But now it's clear  Dot's preoccupied with her health – but getting her to seek medical attention proves far from easy…
