EastEnders fans call soap ‘comedy gold’ after THIS hilarious scene last night
Last night's EastEnders had fans in stitches with a hilarious scene between Walford favourites Shirley Carter and Billy Mitchell...
EastEnders fans were beside themselves last night after Shirley Carter flirted up a storm with Billy Mitchell after discovering that he had the hots for her.
The comedy moment came after Jay Brown forced Billy go to and apologise to Ruby Allen for ruining their first date the previous night.
But when Billy tried to explain why he and Shirley had gatecrashed her evening with Jay, he realised he couldn't reveal the real reason and so lied that he fancied Shirley instead.
Ruby fell for the bluff hook, line and sinker, and decided to make it her mission to play cupid for the pair.
Arriving in the Vic last night, Ruby went straight to the bar and told an unsuspecting Shirley that Billy fancied her... leading to some hilarious flirting with a feather and a pair of yellow rubber gloves.
As Shirley joked around with Billy, she pretended that she also had feelings for him and invited him down to her fictional sex dungeon, leaving the poor man quaking in his boots.

Fans couldn't get enough of Shirley's games and hailed the moment 'comedy gold'...
Considering the speed that Billy ran out of the pub, it doesn't look like he's set to become the next big romance in Walford... which when you think about it is a bit of a shame. There have been worse pairings in Albert Square before.
But the best thing to come out of the whole episode is proof that Billy will do just about anything for his friend Jay... even if it is letting scary Shirley tickle him with a feather!
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
