Viewers were left in tears after the latest Albert Square tragedy
EastEnders viewers took to social media on Thursday night to share their sadness after character Joyce Murray died in her sleep – leaving husband Ted distraught.
Before the upsetting event, Ted had been determined to spend more time with his wife after becoming wrapped up in training Bernie Taylor for the Chess Championships.
As Ted faced a life without his beloved wife, fans rushed to Twitter to post their thoughts over the sad storyline.
‘”Goodnight love”. So sad. RIP Joyce, you will be missed,’ one viewer wrote. Another said: ‘Aww sad night on the Square. What on earth will Ted do now without his Joyce?’
One fan who refused to believe it added: ‘I swear Joyce better not be dead as I love her & Ted! #EastEnders.’
Now fans are speculating that losing his wife might be the thing that brings Ted back together with his estranged daughter Judith, as it’s been revealed she’ll arrive in Walford over the coming episodes after learning of her mum’s death.
