EastEnders’ Laila Morse reveals all in her gritty autobiography!

Laila Morse’s frank autobiography Just a Mo, telling her incredible journey from violent East End beginnings to a much-loved EastEnders’ character, hits the bookshelves in paperback on Thursday 13th February.

Probably best known for her role as Big Mo in EastEnders, the head of the Square’s Slater family, Laila’s own life story is just as dramatic as any of the long-running soap’s storylines!

Laila – real name Maureen Oldman - won critical success with her acting debut in her brother Gary Oldman’s BAFTA-winning film Nil By Mouth.

Based on the siblings’ tough upbringing, Nil By Mouth was written and directed by Gary Oldman (his directorial debut) and starred Ray Winstone and Kathy Burke.

Since then, Laila has become a household name as EastEnders’ Big Mo, but her real-life challenges continued, from Laila’s battle with breast cancer, her son’s arrest for stealing and crashing her car while intoxicated and high, to her stint on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

The book, previously released in hardback, will be available in paperback from all good bookshops…
