Did you spot this, EastEnders fans?

EastEnders fans had something to chuckle about as new details about this month's Royal Wedding were announced.

Prince Harry is due to marry Suits actress Meghan Markle on 19th May in Windsor, and Kensington Palace revealed further information about the nuptials on Friday.

It included the news that Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, will indeed walk his daughter down the aisle following speculation that her mother, Doria Radlan, might do the honours.

And, as coverage of Meghan's father flooded the internet and news channels, EastEnders fans sat up and took notice - as it seems that Mr Markle bears an uncanny resemblance to the soap's much-loved character Barry Evans!

Take a look at Meghan's former Instagram post of her dad and see what you think...

Do you see it?

Here's actor Shaun Williams for comparison...

One Twitter user posted: 'Is it me, or does Meghan Markle’s dad look like Barry from Eastenders? #seperatedatbirth #eastenders #MeghanMarkle'

Another commented: 'Who knew Megan’s dad was Barry in Eastenders. Acting’s in the genes clearly.'

A third wrote: 'I think the most entertaining part of the Royal Wedding will be when Barry from Eastenders walks Meghan down the aisle...'

And they weren't the only ones to pick up on the uncanny resemblance...

The Royal Wedding is set to be the live television event of the year, and the BBC recently revealed its presenting team for the big day.

The One Show’s Alex Jones and Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba will be dotted around the grounds at Windsor for live TV broadcasts, whilst Tina Daheley and Anita Rani will be getting the low down from guests and excited members of the public.

Clare Balding will also host live commentary from the castle on Radio 4, Radio 5 live and the World Service, whilst former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt will be part of Radio 1's team.

The wedding of Harry's brother, Prince William, to Kate Middleton in 2011 attracted a worldwide audience of 24.5 million on terrestrial TV.

We can't wait to watch this year's event, especially when Barry - sorry, Thomas! - walks his daughter down the aisle.
