Emma Willis confirmed as presenter of ITV's The Voice, but Marvin Humes makes his exit

Emma Willis has said she is 'absolutely delighted' to be announced as the presenter of The Voice UK when it moves to its new home on ITV.

She will be the face of the ITV incarnation when the show makes its debut early next year, the commercial broadcaster confirmed.

The 40-year-old has been at the helm of the popular talent series, formerly broadcast on BBC One, since 2014.

Emma, who is presenting Big Brother on Channel 5, said: “The Voice UK is very close to my heart and I’m absolutely delighted to be back on the show. Roll on the blind auditions!”

ITV has also confirmed the departure of Emma’s former co-host Marvin Humes in a statement.

“Marvin won’t be appearing on next year’s series, but remains very much a part of the ITV family, and we look forward to working with him on other projects in the near future.”

The ex-member of pop group JLS joined the series when it was broadcast on BBC One in 2014.

ITV is yet to announce the judging panel, but 2016 coaches will.i.am, Ricky Wilson, Paloma Faith and Boy George were popular with viewers.

Former Liberty X star Kevin Simm, coached by Ricky, won the last ever BBC One edition of The Voice UK earlier this year.

The winner of the 2017 series will be given a record contract with Polydor Records, home to global music stars such as Take That and Ellie Goulding.

The nationwide search to find a new singing talent is now under way, with producers’ auditions visiting six cities across the UK this summer. All musical vocalists are welcome to apply, either as soloists or duos.
