The Emmerdale rumour mill has been going into overdrive trying to work out what Mandy's big secret is...
Ever since it was announced that legendary character Mandy Dingle would be making an Emmerdale comeback at New Year, fans have been desperately trying to work out what is bringing her back to the Dales.
The ITV soap announced yesterday (Tuesday 13th November) that actress Lisa Riley would be reprising her role as the Dingle favourite very soon, hinting to fans that she would be returning to the show with a "huge secret".
But while soap insiders are remaining tight-lipped about what Mandy's secret could be, Emmerdale fans have been coming up with their own brilliant theories.
Fans are thrilled about Mandy's return, and they're convinced her comeback has got something to do with her ex husband, Paddy Kirk.
Long-time fans of the soap will know that Paddy and Mandy were married between 1999 and 2001, and viewers are convinced that Mandy could return to the village with a child - who would actually now be a teenager - and that Paddy's the dad!
Lisa Riley also took to Twitter to reveal her excitement in joining the show after a 17-year absence, with the actress also hinting that Mandy will be back to cause trouble and ruffle feathers...
Emmerdale producer also Kate Brooks teased that Mandy could cause havoc! "Iconic Mandy Dingle returns to the village carrying a secret that turns lives upside down.
"She’s a character bursting with fun who certainly ruffles a few feathers during her short stint back in the village, and she clearly hasn’t lost any of the joie de vivre that made Mandy so popular and enjoyable to watch. We’re delighted to welcome Lisa back to Emmerdale."
But what would a secret love child do to Paddy's already rocky romance with partner Chas? The pair have recently suffered the most tragic heartache after losing their little girl, Grace, shortly after her arrival into the world.
Will Mandy's return to the village make the pair stronger, or could it be the last straw for their relationship?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
