Emmerdale favourite hints at return to soap for THIS shock reason
Former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas has revealed why he would like to reprise his role as Adam Barton...
Emmerdale star Adam Thomas, who is better known to soap fans as Adam Barton, has revealed that he "can't wait to get back to Emmerdale" at some point soon, after spending time working for a property management company.
The actor, who quit his role in the soap after nine years, left Emmerdale in 2017 because he wanted to try his hand at some different acting roles.
Fans of the soap will know that Adam was last seen on screen back in early January 2018 when he confessed to killing Emma Barton in a bid to protect his mum, Moira, who was actually Emma's killer.
But instead of going to prison, Adam escaped the country with Cain and Aaron's help, leaving behind his devastated wife Victoria.
Since leaving the soap actor Adam has been busy treading the boards in Nativity! The Musical, and has also filmed a new BBC Drama called Pitching In, which stars his former I'm A Celebrity campmate, Larry Lamb.
But as always with the world of acting, Adam has had some quieter moments that he has filled with woking at a property management company three days a week.

Adam, who is married with two small children previously told The Mirror: "I've got a family to support at the end of the day, so I needed some sort of income.
"It's great for my own sanity to get out there and start working."
But Adam is hoping to leave the world of property management behind because he has also told the newspaper that he'd love to go back to his soap roots.
Adam revealed: "I left Emmerdale to try new things and play new roles, and I've sort of done that.
"I've done a musical that I never thought I'd be able to do and I've got a drama that's coming out for the BBC. I'm just looking forward to what's coming"
The actor hinted that his return to Emmerdale could be a reality if he plays his cards right...
"With Emmerdale they have left the door open for me. I've been speaking to a few of the cast and there's been talks about me coming back, but I've not heard anything just yet. We'll have to wait and see."
Keep your fingers crossed!
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
