Filming underway on three new feature-length Foyle's War episodes

Michael Kitchen returns for a new series of ITV’s award-winning drama Foyle’s War.

Michael returns to the role of Christopher Foyle, a senior intelligence officer for MI5, with the series due to reach our screens in 2015.

The three new two-hour films have begun filming, and follows Foyle on his battles of espionage, exploring the world of American and German businesses that were accused of fuelling Hitler’s war machine.

Fowyle's War co-stars other well-known actors - John Mahoney (Frasier), Richard Lintern (Silent Witness), Nigel Lindsay (Four Lions), Jaime Winstone (Mad Dogs) and William Postlethwaite (Midsomer Murders).

As well, the new series features returning cast members Honeysuckle Weeks, Daniel Weyman, Ellie Haddington, Tim McMullan and Rupert Vandsittart.

Filming will continue until April with broadcast anticipated on ITV in 2015.

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
