Former Corrie star Georgia May Foote joins Strictly Come Dancing line-up

Former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has been named as the fourth celebrity who will hit the dancefloor in Strictly Come Dancing.

The 24-year-old, who left her role as Katy Armstrong on the soap earlier this year, says that apart from learning all the different dance styles she is looking forward to the spangly and glamorous dresses.

“I have already come home with sequins and shoes. I have only been for one dress fitting and they are everywhere already,” she told BBC Breakfast.

She said that all of the celebrities have been given codenames from Disney films to keep their identities a secret – and hers was Rapunzel from Tangled.
