Both Girls Aloud and The X Factor finalists have triumphed in the UK charts, scoring the number one album and single respectively. Out Of Control went straight into the album charts in pole position - giving Cheryl Cole and the girls their first number one album other than their 2006 greatest hits compilation. In the singles charts, the X Factor finalists' charity single Hero spent a second week on top, having sold 189,600 copies in the past seven days. So far the track - proceeds from which are going to the Help For Heroes charity and the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal - has sold over half a million copies. Last week record company execs said it was on course to become the fastest selling charity single of the decade. Former X Factor winner Leona Lewis also scored another chart hit this week, as her song Forgive Me entered the top 40 at number five.
