Halsall: McAlpine has stubble rash!

Coronation Street's Alan Halsall has revealed that he has given co-star Jennie McAlpine stubble rash. Alan - who is married to former Corrie co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson in real life - admitted the kissing scenes between his character Tyrone Dobbs and Jennie's alter-ego Fiz Stape are probably more physically challenging for Jennie. "It's a job at the end of the day. But you know, it's probably far worse for Jenny to kiss me than it is for me to kiss Jenny," he told the ITV soap's official website. "She's got stubble rash, God bless her, because I'm so b***** hairy. It is good fun, it's a nice story and we've enjoyed it." Alan revealed that Tyrone is "in a bad place", despite becoming a dad to baby Ruby with fiancee Kirsty (Natalie Gumede). "In one way, he's really happy - he's got Ruby, the daughter he has always wanted, but then his home situation with Kirsty and the domestic violence is obviously overshadowing everything," he said. As Tyrone and Fiz rekindle their romance, the actor said they are spotted by Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan). "Of course in Coronation Street, nothing goes unnoticed and they get caught out snogging by Tina, of all people. Tyrone and Tina have fell out, she hates Kirsty so she probably wants to rub her nose in it. Tina's the worst person who could catch them." Alan teased: "Things are definitely going to be more awkward for Tyrone and Fiz on 'Complications Street'..."
