Heart-warming scenes in Coronation Street tonight as this lovely moment happens

Baby Bertie is back home!

Weatherfield has been a grim place recently as the residents reel after the death of tragic Rana, so fans will be delighted that something nice is actually happening this evening in Coronation Street!

After going through hell, Daniel is delighted tonight to at last be able to bring Sinead Tinker and little baby Bertie back home from hospital. Bless!

Home sweet home! Daniel and Sinead are delighted to be bringing Bertie home

Sinead, Daniel and Ken share some lovely scenes where they get to coo and play with Bertie, who’s obviously happy to be home, where he belongs.

Ken has been hard at work, decorating the flat with bunting and putting up a welcome home banner, something that really touches Sinead and Daniel.

All smiles! Ken is delighted to see baby Bertie and makes a big effort to make sure everyone's happy

They of course named the boy Bertie in a nod to Ken’s Uncle Albert Tatlock, who featured in Coronation Street for over 20 years.

Of course, the little family have been through hell, with poor Bertie looking like he might not survive at one stage.

Sinead loves fussing over baby Bertie and Daniel tries to reassure her that they’ll make great parents and everything will go smoothly from now on.

But, Daniel and Sinead are aware that after all that’s happened recently they can’t flaunt their happiness too much while others mourn.

And there’s more drama about the roof collapse this evening in Coronation Street as Michelle tries to reassure everyone that Carla couldn’t have possibly known about the state of the roof as she would never put lives at risk.

But, there’s still plenty of speculation that Carla was behind the roof collapse to scam the insurance... while Sarah fears Gary is hiding a big secret.

Coronation Street is on ITV tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
