New ITV2 satirical comedy Glitchy promises to run amok with some of the nation's best-loved TV series.

A fast-paced mixture of sketches and pranks, Glitchy will throw popular series into a surreal and parallel television world, where all the shows are fake but unsuspecting members of the public believe them to be real.

Ryan Sampson (ITV2’s Plebs) will play myriad characters as he presents his unique take on Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Hand Model, 24 Hours in A Phone Box, Date My Daughter, Embarrassing Personalities and street magician and petty criminal, Mezmo. The members of the public who participate in each sketch will unknowingly be the stars of their very own show.

Ryan said: “I’m beyond excited that ITV have let us loose, giving our own twisted take on all of our favourite TV shows. It’s going to be brilliant. And weird. And weirdly brilliant.”

The actor, who has had guest roles in Doctor Who and Holby City, will be joined by an ensemble cast of up-and-coming comedy talent including Ellie White, Gabby Best, Colin Hoult, Liam Hourican, Jason Attar and Mona Yousefi.

Executive producer of Glitchy Leon Wilson said: “Ryan is a great comedic talent and we are delighted to work with him on this hilarious new series that will throw new light on some of the ITV2 audiences favourite TV shows”.

The six-part series premieres on ITV2 on Tuesday, October 6.
