Jahmene records advert for Asda

It Asda be you - X Factor runner-up Jahmene Douglas has landed his first job since losing out to James Arthur in the talent search show and is back at his old employer. The former shelfstacker has recorded a version of Silent Night for a special online advert for the supermarket chain. He said he recorded the track as a "way of saying thank-you" to everyone who voted for him throughout the show. The singer said: "It was an amazing feeling to record my first song in the studio that wasn't for the show. I feel blessed to have had this opportunity and can't wait to see what the future holds." He will be among the acts taking part in the X Factor tour along with James and fellow finalist Christopher Maloney. Jahmene is rumoured to be signing a deal with show supremo Simon Cowell who wants to launch his career in the United States.
