Reality TV star and Big Brother winner Josie Gibson is preparing to risk life and limb as she joins the line-up for The Jump 2017.

Reality TV star Josie Gibson has confirmed her place in the new series of The Jump.

The Big Brother winner will join a host of other celebrities risking life and limb on the mountains for the competition’s fourth series in 2017.

A source told The Sun that Josie has been having ski lessons to prepare her for the challenge.

31-year-old Josie rose to fame in 2010 after becoming the most popular housemate on Big Brother, winning the show with 77.5% of the public vote.

Since leaving the Big Brother house she has become one of the most successful contestants ever with TV appearances on shows such as: Celebrity Wedding Planner, Celebrity Impossible, Gino & Mel - Lets do Lunch, The Wright Stuff, Silent Library, Wagons Den, Celebrity Juice, Live From Studio Five, The Vanessa Show, OK! TV, Big Brother's Bit On the Side and Loose Women, as well as having her own reality shows John James and Josie: What happened Next and There's Something About Josie.

Since leaving the Big Brother house in 2010, Josie has shed 7 stone in weight and become a qualified personal trainer and nutritionist.

Other celebrities preparing to take on the slopes next year include TOWIE's Lydia Bright, ex footballer Robbie Fowler, model Vogue Williams, Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, American model Caprice Bourret and rugby players Gareth Thomas and Jason Robinson.

The show has been plagued by serious injuries. Earlier this year Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle damaged two vertebrate while competing in the show.

Other victims of bad luck on the mountains include Made In Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli, Olympians Rebecca Adlington and Linford Christie; Sarah Harding; Joe Swash; actress Tina Hobley, and Heather Mills.

Reality star Mark-Francis, 26, suffered a fractured ankle during a live event, and was forced to withdraw from the show after heading to hospital.

Double Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington, 26, withdrew from the show on medical advice after she dislocated her shoulder mid-jump in the show's titular event.

Holby City actress Tina Hobley, 44, also headed for the exit after she dislocated her elbow and suffered two fractures to her arm. Last week Tina explained how the injuries have had a huge impact on her life.
