Problems mount for Ken this week when son Daniel's girlfriend, Sinead, reveals she's pregnant. A disbelieving Ken's appalled that his dreams of Daniel going to Oxford University could be scuppered.
On top of that, Ken's daughter, Tracy, overhears him making a disparaging remark about her late mum, Deirdre, while her daughter, Amy, cons him into coughing up cash for a new violin.
