James Crossley, aka Hunter, reveals Lightning has been taking part in equestrian events

Hunter and Lightning, legends from classic ITV game show Gladitors, have posed in a sweet picture together.

James Crossley, aka Hunter, shared a great Instagram snap of himself with Lightning, real name Kim Betts.

And in case you’re wondering what Kim, aka Lightning, is up to now, James revealed: “She and her family run a farm in the midlands. She competes in equestrian and is still in incredible shape!!”

Lightning, who’s now 46, featured on Gladiators from 1992 to 1999 and she had a great record on the ITV hit – she was unbeaten in this country! She did once get beaten during the Ashes series in Australia, but perhaps we shouldn’t mention that!

The former gymnast, whose theme tune was Tina Turner’s Simply The Best, made a return to Gladiators for its 2008 revamp in a Legends Special. Kim also fronted children's show Room 785, which was shown on the British Forces Broadcasting Service TV for Her Majesty's Armed Forces worldwide.

Meanwhile, James also recently shared a picture of himself with another Gladiators' great, Michael Van Wijk, aka Wolf!

James described Wolf as being in “Supersonic shape at 65 years young”.  As well as hanging out with Wolf and Lightning, James has also been busy with a DVD, Fit At 40, showing men of a certain age how to keep in shape.

Surely it’s time for someone to bring Gladiators back?
