Lisa Faulkner lifts lid on John Torode romance

Former Celebrity Masterchef winner Lisa Faulkner has opened up on her romance with the show's judge John Torode.

The ex-Holby City star, who was crowned champion of the 2010 series, sparked speculation after being spotted with John late last year.

But despite previously refusing to confirm the rumours, John has now admitted that Lisa is 'very special' - while she told the Mirror about the first time she invited him over for dinner.

"I had cooked for him so many times," she said, "But I still had a little moment of 'I hope he likes it'.

"I was petrified of him and Gregg (wallace) when I met them," Lisa added. "John's an amazing chef - if he says the food's good it'a an amazing compliment, you want to do well."

Lisa also revealed that Celebrity Masterchef succeeded her expectations, but she never expected it to be such hard work.

"It was properly hardcore," she admitted. "They don't tell you anything so you can't prepare, all you can do is think on your feet."

However she added: "I wish I'd done it years ago and I could have trained as a chef.

"I'd love to go back and do some more acting, but I'm not sitting and waiting for the phone to ring. I have another string to my bow."
