Featuring a restored high definition transfer and newly translated English subtitles, alongside interviews with star Jô Shishido and critic Tony Rayns on the Nikkatsu studio’s history, trailers and a collector’s booklet, this new Arrow presentation makes for a great companion piece to their 2014 release of Seijun Suzuki’s Branded to Kill.

Retaliation, Jô Shishido and Yasuharu Hasebe’s follow-up to Massacre Gun, is also available from Arrow Video (11 May), as well as the Meiko Kaji-fronted Stray Cat Rock series, which features three entries directed by Hasebe.
